About the Business
We recognise that all pupils have different talents and strive to ensure that every pupil has an equal opportunity to find and develop the talents they do possess. We believe that the development of spirituality, character, intellect and creativity are the primary aims of education. We work together to create a happy and caring school community which is engaged in our local community and the wider world. The College seeks to develop and inspire learners who will exhibit the traits and values of our Learner Profile: Purpose, Passion, Challenge.
The Pre-Prep (Reception-Year 2) and Preparatory School (Year 3-Year 6) are each housed in their own buildings. Each school also has its own leader. The College was founded in 1840 to serve the needs of the growing city of Liverpool. William Ewart Gladstone spoke at the foundation and was one of the founders of the College. Liverpool College was a Founder Members of HMC. In 1929, the College moved to its current site in the leafy suburbs of Mossley Hill.
