About the Business
The North West College of Homoeopathy was established in 1984 by Ernest Roberts. Having studied homoeopathy in London alongside many of the leading actors of the 1970s homoeopathy revival, Ernest returned to his home town of Manchester in 1983 and founded his clinic. In the following year, the College was born.
The College grew in size and service delivery, diversifying its personnel and ideas, with Ernest's oversight, providing the soil for graduates who went on to significant roles in professional practise, homoeopathic education, and the management of the profession.
In 2008, the College acquired a new identity and vision as a social enterprise, a non-profit making organisation, with a leadership team of volunteers (the Board) and a shared accountability to all shareholders, which includes all our students. This model influences our ethos and ethics.
