About the Business
Welcome to the website of St Mary's College, Oscott, the seminary of the Archdiocese of Birmingham. Established on its current site in 1838, the college is located approximately six miles north of the city of Birmingham, UK. It serves principally as a place of formation for the Catholic priesthood for the Church in England, Wales & Scotland. During the Papal visit to the UK in 2010, the seminary was privileged to receive Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday 19th September, following the beatification of Blessed John Henry Newman at Cofton park. The historic College buildings are set within their own grounds and are open to visitors on certain dates. We aim to keep the website regularly updated with relevant news, articles and information, so please do use the bar at the top of each page to navigate around the sections of the site that are of interest to you. We also have a Facebook page and Twitter account for you to further keep in touch with events at the College. Enjoy your visit!
